The Volkswagen clutch assembly gives drivers a tight rein to their car. It links the engine to the drive train so that when the clutch disc engages the engine, horsepower is transmitted to the wheels in the form of a rotational motion and drives the car.

During transmission both the clutch assembly and the engine throb violently from the flow of rotational motion. The cabin, on the other hand, is spared from it on account of the mounts that keep these Volkswagen parts in place. Mounts are devices that fix individual Volkswagen parts to the car chassis. To secure the engine under the hood and dampen engine rattle, it is fastened to an engine mount. The Volkswagen clutch assembly is held by a similar, smaller bracket called transmission mount.

The harder the acceleration, the harder it is for the transmission mount to hold the clutch assembly.
